People have campaigned for many years to get a speed reduction on the A49 through Bridstow. And just a couple of weeks ago the Ross Gazette published a letter from leading campaigner, Councillor Russell Hamilton, who was delighted to learn that the work had finally been given the go-ahead. He was devastated to discover that the work has now been cancelled.
Cllr Hamilton, who has been leading this campaign for the past two years, was outraged and called for the Highways Agency to honour its promise without any further delay. Read the full story in this week's Gazette.
