LUKE JONES, Ross-based motor bike road racing rider, was at Croft, north Yorkshire at the weekend competing in the Triumph Triple Challenge support series, run with the British Super Bikes. Now into the third round, Luke was leading the championship by seven points.

Practice on the Friday went well finishing second overall. Saturday qualifying put Luke in third spot on the grid.

In the first race Luke made a good start and went into second and had a race-long battle with the eventual winner, Peter Ward, who won by 0.133 of a second. Read the full report in this week's Gazette.
