Everyone in Ross has the chance to add their own piece of tile to the Town Mosaic on Sunday, May 17th or Wednesday, May 20th.
Lots of children from local schools, as well as people in other groups, have already arranged to contribute to the mosaic depicting the town's history. When it is finished it will be displayed outside the Library.
Thanks to a contribution from the Ross Town Council Janice Barrett, an accomplished community artist, will be in the town from 10am until 2pm on these two extra date. She will be at a table under the Heritage Centre so everyone can meet the artist but more importantly to put a piece of tile on the Mosaic.
Kate Murray, Assistant Cultural Services Manager - Libraries, Heritage and Learning, approached the Civic Society of Ross to get their ideas on what topics or areas would reflect the heritage of Ross.
The steering group are very pleased with the list and have asked Janice to incorporate as many of them as she can, it is worth a trip to see what the mosaic is going to include.
Dennis added that he really hopes this will be a work of art that will involve the whole town.
