Gloucestershire Constabulary has confirmed that a man has died at a popular beauty spot this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the police told the Ross Gazette: "Shortly after 12.45pm today, Monday, March 5th emergency services were called to Symonds Yat where there were concerns for the safety of a man."

He continued: "We can confirm a man died at the location. At this time he has not been formally identified but his next of kin has been informed. The police are not treating it as suspicious."
