The Llangrove May Fayre took place on May Day and the sunshine brought people out in their droves.
The attractions included the Forest of Dean Bee Keepers, Therapy Dogs, Whitchurch Fire Service, bouncy castles and official Star Wars characters from the UK Garrison. There was also traditional Maypole dancing and plenty of stalls offering games, raffles and hampers.
At one point the Maypole dancing was interrupted by a frightful dragon who entered the ring, however St George was at hand, with his army, to slay the beast. The Maypole dancing was performed by member of Llangrove Leapfrogs, Llangrove Academy, Llangrove Rainbows and Llangrove Brownies. The dragon, brave St George and his army were all members of Llangrove Beavers and Scouts.
The fire fighters offered some wonderful entertainment by allowing the children into the engine and to have a go at putting out a fake fire.
It was a fantastic day and all profits will go towards the Village Hall, the Academy, Leapfrogs and Christchurch Llangrove.
