At the Town Council’s Annual Review meeting on Monday, April 28th, Councillor Harry Bramer, as Ross-on-Wye Mayor, began the meeting with an annual report and a thank you to all of the Town Councillors for their hard work throughout the year. He said: “It has been an honour for me to serve the community as the Mayor.”
Talking about some of his memories from his year as Mayor, he said: “The 100th Anniversary of the signing of the Armistice was very poignant for me, and I will not forget the crowds of all of the Ross residents, and the lighting of the beacon.
“I look forward to the Bands of the the Park this year, in May, and also the Proms in the Park, in July.”
The Christmas Fayre and the Light Switch on will take place in November, and will be organised by the Town Council.
Councillor Bramer said: “The Market House will have repair work later this year, for example on it’s badly worn steps and the roof, and the planning schedule includes hanging baskets and flowers.
He briefly talked about the Neighbourhood Development Plan, the housing development at Hildersley, and the closure of the Minor Injuries Unit.
Concluding, Councillor Bramer said: “It’s been a pleasure for Marie and I to serve ross, thank you for the privilege.”
