MADAM, Some while ago I wrote to the Gazette to say that I felt that the strange lights in the sky were part of the message of Christ's second coming. I also felt that if the cloning of animals led scientists to clone human beings, the day of judgement might well be closer. Scientists at Yokohama City University, Japan, have recently used lab-grown sperm to breed mice and a fertility expert at Sheffield University has stated that this is a small but important step, which may lead to scientists 'routinely' growing human sperm. We all know what has happened in Japan.
