Representatives from Midlands Air Ambulance will be at TSB Ross-on-Wye on Friday, December 14th from 10am until 12.30pm. Everyone is welcome to join the team at TSB for a mince pie and a glass of Buck’s Fizz and to learn about the incredible work Midlands Air Ambulance does in the local area.
Local Charities Day is an UK annual event aimed at showcasing the vital work that local charities do week in and week out, and TSB is supporting the event across the country.
This is part of TSB’s long-standing commitment to support local charities that matter to its customers where they live and work, rather than focusing on one, centrally chosen charity of the year. Since 2015, TSB’s branches and sites have partnered with nearly 1,300 local causes, donated nearly £2.5 million and volunteered thousands of hours.
Since TSB in Ross partnered with Midlands Air Ambulance in 2017, it has raised over £3,000 for the charity, recent activities have included Forest Mud Runner, the Christmas Fayre and a raffle which raised over £1500.
In addition, throughout December, TSB is also awarding over 150 Local Community Fund grants of between £1,000 and £3,000 to help charities across the UK to pursue projects that are designed to help local people.
Chris Hales, Bank Manager at TSB in Ross said: “I’m delighted to welcome our local charity partner Midlands Air Ambulance to spend the day with us. Local charities play a vital role in supporting the daily lives of thousands of people across the UK, and they need our support. Local Charities Day is a great opportunity for us to say thank you to charities and help spread the word, so more of us can hear about the fantastic work they do, and find out how we can support them.”
