The new inspector in Ross, Pete Gebbie is not new to the area at all. His first posting as a PC was at Ross Police Station as a probationer in 1992. He admitted to the Ross Gazette that even then he thought it would be great to come back one day as the Inspector.
Along the way Pete Gebbie has also gained experience at all ranks. He has been in charge of custody, trained as a negotiator dealing with people threatening suicide, and as a former soldier he has a great interest in the military and private security firms.
He was the last inspector in the Hereford control room before it closed and he has spent the last three years working in HQ roles. Read the full report in this week's Gazette.
