MADAM, Having attended the open day at the Gospel Hall, in Henry Street, on Saturday, April 6th, where members of the Gospel Hall were there to extend a friendly welcome.

I was intrigued on inspection of their account books for ages past to find that in 1926 and 1927 entries of £100 donated to the poor, this equates to over £5000 in money today.

I have assumed that this money was distributed to poor families who resided in Ross and surrounding villages. I wonder if there is anybody still living in Ross who can remember how these charitable deeds were executed.
