There was plenty to celebrate at the John Kyrle High School when a record number of pupils gained five or more of A* to C grades at GCSE and pupils achieved a 100% pass rate at A Level.

Headteacher Nigel Griffiths, was delighted by the outstanding performance at John Kyrle where a record 73% of students gaining 5+ A*- C grades at GCSE, with an overall pass rate of 99%. Just under 60% of the cohort gained the all-important five or more A*-C grades, including English and Maths. These include Rosie Lindley with 8A*s and 6 As; Alix Baldwin with 7A*s and 6 As; Tagan Coyle with 7A*s and 4 As; Ed Cindery with 7A*s and 3 As; Ali Raine with 7A*s and 4 As.

Notable successes at A level included the Head Girl, Helen Parry, who will read French and Spanish at Swansea and the Head Boy George Miles who will read Sports Education at Gloucestershire.
