Ross Town lucky to draw

Ross Town 2 - 2 Bromyard Res.

Ross Town were fortunate to gain a point from their home game against Bromyard Reserves, drawing 2-2. Bromyard could have been 3 - 0 up after only ten minutes, but for a great save from Dan Morris in the Ross goal, and poor finishing and the woodwork.

However it was Ross who took the lead, despite all the

early pressure from Bromyard, thanks to the persistence of striker Justin Halfpenny, who capitalised on a goal keeping error to score in an empty net. But Bromyard equalised with a far post header from a delightful free kick.

In the second half there was a dramatic improvement from the Ross team and Dewi Stuart put Ross in front again with a left foot drive from the edge of the box.

Back came Bromyard in what was turning out to be an end to end game. ?Their full back crossed from the touch line for an easy finish.

Ross could have grabbed all 3 points late on, when a flowing move saw Halfpenny's lob just touched over the bar from the Bromyard keeper.

The TR Yates man of the match award went to Paul Burnham who bossed the game in midfield for the 2nd half. This week Ross Town are at home to Westfields.
