I would like to thank Morrisons for allowing my nominated Charity (SSAFA) to hold a collection in their Ross-on-Wye Store, also to the many generous donations from the public which generated a sum of £134.19 for the day.
I am very grateful for the help of the Ross-on-Wye & Monmouth Sea Cadets for their help with the collection. This youth organisation has always been very active over the past number of years in community participation and their assistance with this fundraising event was very welcome.
I will be holding a number of events throughout the year to support SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen & Families Association) and would welcome support from the public.
The next fundraising event is a Charity Shop in the old wine shop in Gloucester Road. The shop will open on Saturday, July 2nd until Friday, July 8th. If you have any jumble this will be very welcome. Just label it, "Mayors Charity" and drop it into the shop.
