The re-launched Morrisons in Ross has created 20 jobs with Jobcentre Plus as part of a £1.7 million investment into transforming the supermarket into a 'Store of the Future'.
The new staff, who are now in their third month of employment, have been trained in a range of traditional craft skills such as butchery, fishmongery, baking and flower arranging, which are a strong focus of the 'fresh market' inspired shopping space, which stocks more than 450 types of fresh fruit and vegetables.
New technology including ice beds and misting will be used to optimise the freshness of the food on offer.
