Naomi Haggett, Community Champion at Morrisons in Ross-on-Wye, was thrilled with the response she had to the annual Morrisons toy collection, which this year was donated to Hereford Hospital’s Children’s wards.

On the Thursday before Christmas Naomi delivered two full trolley loads to the hospital and the nurses and staff were over the moon. She also took a box of fruit, tea, coffee, biscuits and cake for the staff.

Naomi told the Gazette: “The people of Ross have been so generous and I’d just like to say thank you.”

Naomi also arranged for three school choirs to sing in store that week. As well as the pupils from Ashfield Park Primary School which featured in the Christmas issue of the Gazette, choirs from St Joseph’s and Walford schools also entertained the shoppers.

Nomi said: “All the children were fabulous and I’m hoping to make it an annual thing.”

Her next venture will be organising a brave the shave in mid January. A couple of members of female staff and whoever else she can persuade will be rocking the bald look in aid of a cancer charity.
