A young motorcyclist, believed to live at Walford, suffered neck and ankle injuries when his bike was in collision with a car at the junction of New Street and Edde Cross Street in Ross.

The incident happened at 12.30pm on Monday lunchtime and the road was closed until 1.45pm.

A large quantity of fuel was spilt during the incident and sand was used to make the area safe.

The motorcyclist who had been riding a Honda 400cc bike was taken to Hereford Hospital, the car driver was uninjured.

Police are continuing to make enquiries into the incident but there were no arrests made as the Gazette went to press.
