Pupils from Much Birch Primary School led tributes to the fallen of both World Wars at a special service at the War Memorial in Wormelow.

They read poems and brought their own wreath to the service at the Wormelow War Memorial. The original tree memorial was in full colour and has been added to with a stone surround and pots donated by Ross Garden Store. Pupils at Much Birch had also created their own memorial tree.

There were also wreaths laid by representatives of the Wormelow and District RBL, County Councillors, local businesses, individuals and the Parish Council. After the short service a team from the Pilgrim Hotel served welcome hot drinks.
