The singing apology from Nick Clegg which was an internet sensation last week was created by a musician from Ross.

Alex Ross, 28, was born in the town and attended John Kyrle High School, he now lives at Foy. He is a professional musician and member of the band Goldman.

He has composed several remixes and a recent version of the Jeremy Kyle Show was very popular. He was approached by the satirical website The Poke, and when the Deputy Prime Minister released his apology for the increase in university tuition fees, Alex was commissioned to remix it.

The speech was released on Thursday evening and by 3am the next morning it was finished. Alex took a few hours rest and, he told the Ross Gazette that the next morning he was astonished to discover it was all over the internet. Over the next four days it had over a million hits and although the interest in that clip has now died down Alex has been commissioned for further work on the back of it.

He told the Gazette:?"I will be working with Channel 4 news during the party conference season."

So watch out for more political remixes thanks to this Ross musician.
