For me, the mantra that people of my age should live by is “passion, excitement and enjoyment”. I believe this should apply to all areas of life, not just hobbies, so as I’ve completed my GCSEs now, it’s come to the point for me to consider my options in the world of work.
I haven’t yet introduced myself, my name’s Chris, and I am doing some work experience at the Gazette to gain some experience in journalism first-hand.
Since the age of seven I have written reports for football games, cricket games, and have an everlasting passion for sport. Unfortunately I’m not quite as good as I want to be, so what’s better than playing it? Writing about it.
I am a local student and always have been, I went to Bridstow Primary from 2006-13, and then John Kyrle where I will remain for sixth form until 2020. I can’t thank the teachers and friends I have made enough for what has been a long but enjoyable experience so far.
For nearly a year now I have posted over 40 blogs on two separate domains. It began on October 19th, when my Dad suggested that I should begin practicing writing regularly if I wanted to take it seriously. I have a Facebook page known as ‘Stonadge’s Sporting Medium’ which sits on 91 likes at this moment. It can be found easily by typing ‘Stonadge’s Sporting Medium’ into Google or Facebook, or by contacting me at: [email protected].
In these blogs I usually write about things that interest me in the modern world of sport. The best piece I have written (in my opinion) is a detailed personal account of the Champions League Quarter Final between my beloved Liverpool, and Manchester City. This reached around 350 different readers, a feat I’m very proud of.
Now you know a bit more about me, and my passion, what excites me and what I enjoy. Hopefully there will be more from me soon.
