A dramatic photographic exhibition is coming to Ross from October 25th-27th displaying the plight of displaced people from Africa and the Middle East.

It will be mounted at Ross Baptist Church and be available for public viewing from 10am-4pm on Thursday and Friday, October 25th and 26th and from 10am-2pm on Saturday, October 27th.

Organiser of the event, the Revd Glyn Jenkins says: “In these days when so much attention is being focused on the future of our own country, it is good to take a step back and see how the world is changing. More than 40 million people are displaced within their own country. They’re forced to flee their homes and seek safety, but they’re unable or unwilling to cross a border. Even though they make up around two thirds of those who have been forced from home, the international community largely ignores them. They’re denied the official protection given to refugees.

“But Christian Aid believes that everybody counts. We believe that the world can and must do better.

“As far as we are aware this is the only opportunity of seeing the exhibition in Herefordshire as it travels the country. It is hoped that local people will spend a few minutes to experience it.”
