Dear Editor,
I joined ‘District Bank’ in 1964, and worked for the bank (later ‘NatWest Bank’) for over 30 years.
Employment by the bank was a source of pride, and customer service was regarded as a priority.
Recently, the ‘Royal Bank of Scotland’ has announced plans for the closure of various branches, including NatWest. Apparently this includes the branch in Ross-on-Wye, mid 2018.
Obviously present customers will have their own views in this respect.
My letter is to highlight the incredibly dirty appearance of the exterior of the branch in Ross-on-Wye.
No opening hours are displayed whatsoever; the previous ‘sign’ would appear to have been removed.
The window panes, and sills, are disgusting. When they were last cleaned is unclear, most likely many months ago. They also have what appears to be ‘pizza’ smeared over part of them.
Does NatWest have no pride whatsoever in its appearance in Ross? Apparently not.
I would be interested in your reader’s comments in this aspect.
