IN AN attempt to buck the trend of the dying high street, this festive season a 51 strong group of independent shops and businesses have creative a fairy door trail in the hope of bringing their community together.
Ross-on-Wye’s independent businesses are joining forces to sprinkle a little extra magic across the town with the launch of a brand-new Fairy Door Trail, which runs until December 20.
The Fairy Door Trail invites families, visitors, and local residents to explore the town’s high street and discover a series of beautifully crafted fairy doors created by participating businesses.
Each door has its own charm and story, showcasing the creativity and character that make the independent shops in Ross so special.
Trail participants will also have the chance to win a variety of fantastic prizes, including £100 in vouchers to spend at participating independent businesses.
No purchase is necessary—everyone is welcome to take part and enjoy the displays, and experience the warm, community-focused spirit of the trail.
The initiative aims to bring people together, celebrate the unique identity of the town’s high street, and encourage residents and visitors alike to support local businesses during the festive season.
“This trail is all about celebrating our community and the independent shops that give Ross its charm,” said the organising group of local business owners.
“We invite everyone to explore the town, enjoy the creativity on display, and discover something new along the way.”
Since the Fairy Door Trail was launched on Saturday there were streams of people following the magical trail around the town to complete their entry forms.
Trail maps and entry details can be found at participating businesses.
A team of representatives from the independent businesses were on hand to promote the initiative at the Market House last Saturday.
