Dear Editor,

Ahoy! (hello) from Sazava in the Czech Republic. I recently had the privilege of visiting this town. I was amused to find that it has two train stations (Dr Beeching didn’t get here) and two Bus Stations. There are 4,000 residents but these increase to around 16,000 in the Summer with visitors.

I felt very much at home because Sazava, like Ross, is situated by a meandering river, has forests and pleasant vistas, walks and canoes for visitors to enjoy. I was there with five others from the UK to help local residents and visitors learn English.

I am pictured here with some of the Advanced English Group who enjoyed reading the Ross Gazette. Six of them were teachers and they were impressed with the headings, the English used and the clarity of the articles. The Ross Gazette has some new fans. Keep up the good work.
