On Sunday, October 8th there will be a grand opening of the Wormelow Telephone box which has been refurbished into a Lending Library by Rosemary Rigby MBE.
Rosemary started the planning 12 months ago after rescuing the old phone box from ruin. She asked people to donate the cost of a glass pane which in return would have the name of the donator engraved on it. This helped to cover the cost of the refurbishment of the box and to bring it back to its former glory.
At the grand opening Ruby Ann from Birminham will be singing several songs and cutting the ribbon. Everyone is welcome to attend and join in the fun. The grand opening will be at 3.30pm.
Rosemary told the Ross Gazette: “A heartfelt thank you to all those who generously donated panes of glass. May I also say how delighted we will be to receive nice interesting books, which people no longer require, to place in our new Wormelow Lending Library.”
