Father Richard Simons O S B is the new parish Priest of St Frances of Rome He took over when Canon Paul Chidgey retired at the end of July after more than two decades of service.

Father Richard, monks are known by their Christian name, is a Benedictine monk of Belmont Abbey near Hereford. He is also Parish Priest of the Most Holy Trinity, Ledbury.

Father Richard is delighted to have been appointed to serve at Ross-on-Wye and has begun working enthusiastically with other local Churches. One of Father Richard's main interests is education and at present he is Chair of Governors of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. He has also introduced a Children's Liturgy at the Sunday morning Mass, to which all are welcome. Tea and coffee are served in the annex after Mass.

Sunday services are as follows: Saturday evening at 7 o'clock and Sunday morning at 9 o'clock. For services during the week, please see the Parish Newsletter
