Restrictions on a stretch of Gloucester Road in Ross-on-Wye, from the junction at Smallbrook Road to Ryefield Road are to be implemented from April 12th.

No waiting, loading or unloading will be allowed, at any time, on the south side of the B4260 Gloucester Road from a point 2.9 metres west of where the projected centre line of Smallbrook Road intersects the southern kerb line of Gloucester Road for a distance of 11.3 metres in a westerly direction. This restriction will shorten the existing marked on-street parking bay by a distance of 14.2 metres and extend the existing prohibition of waiting at any time restriction on both sides of Ryefield Road by 10 metres in a northerly direction, terminating at a point 17 metres north of Gloucester Road.

Some existing Taxi Ranks will also be removed. These include the 10pm to 3am taxi rank on the south east side of Broad Street, near to the junction with Kyrle Street, and the all-day taxi rank on the south side of the B4260 Gloucester Road from its junction with Chase Road, to a point 206 metres west of that junction.

These taxi ranks will become parking bays with a time restriction of 30 minutes. For more information see the public notices on page 23 of this week’s Ross Gazette.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
