Madam, On behalf of the Royal British Legion may we
appeal to the people of Ross-on-Wye for their assistance
with the 2009 Poppy Appeal.
We urgently need people who may be able to offer a
couple of hours one evening to collect in their road or
street.
The Royal British Legion is a charity that supports
the serving and ex-Service community and their families.
They are probably best known for their role as the
nation's custodian of Remembrance and organisers of the
annual Poppy Appeal.
The Poppy Appeal last year was one of the most
successful ever which reflects the public's increased
concern, not only for the veterans of past conflicts, but for
the welfare of those serving today and their young
families.
