The eight new Tourist Information Sites (TIS) situated in businesses around Ross-on-Wye were officially launched on Tuesday, March 1st. Yolande Watson and Caroline Utting of the new Ross Tourism Association visited each of the eight sites to hand over the new accommodation file which contains information about bed adn breakfasts, guest houses and other places to stay in the Ross area.

Each TIS will be easily identified by a window sticker and they will have leaflets and town maps to hand out to visitors, as well as information files for dog-friendly places.

Yolande said: “We hope that people who live and work in Ross and know the town will be sharing the information with visitors and will bring people into the town centre.

“This is just the beginning of an intensive drive to increase visitor numbers and publicise just what a lovely place Ross-on-Wye is to visit and a perfect centre from where to explore the local area,” she added.

Anyone who offers accommodation, or any other service which may be of interest to visitors to Ross, is welcome to visit the eight Tourist Information Sites and ask them to include your leaflets or information alongside everything else on offer.
