The Town Team, which was set up several years ago to attempt to win a Mary Portas bid to regenerate the town centre, still has £5,000 to invest in projects.

New members have come forward and the revitalised group has also got a new website, thanks to one of the members, Des Auld of Logiplex.

Other Town Team members include Caroline Utting and Richard Mayo, who were nominated as members of the Association of Ross Traders, and new volunteers, Dave Hatch, Melvin Reynolds, Mark Croad, Howard Toussaint and Colin Leggate.

Des told the Ross Gazette:?“We are looking for people to come up with ideas which will help make the town more attractive, so that visitors stay longer and spend more money here. Dennis said:?“The projects have to be sustainable not one off events.”
