Seventy-five walkers and runners turned out on New Years Day for the popular annual event which starts at Hole in the Wall and finishes at the Rowing Club.

Chairman Bryn Hughes started the event at 11 am. The more hardy competitors ran the course, some in fancy dress. However, the majority walked and enjoyed pleasant conversation and the crisp clear air.

First home was local man Dave Setchfield, followed by Andy Grant of Worcester Rowing Club. In third place was the first woman home, 16 year-old athlete, Vanessa Brann.

Hot food and drinks were provided at the Rowing Club for the participants.
