MADAM, Laughter was prevalent in the O'Reilly household last week - all thanks to The Ross Gazette!
From Adelaide to Omaha, laughter lifted us all as family members realised I was about to go to a nightclub for the first time in 25 years to meet X Factor finalists Miss Frank.
It wasn't the idea of meeting Miss Frank that made us all laugh - or really the fact it was going to be in a nightclub. It was because I would be leaving home to go out at 10pm, seeing a floor show at 1.30am and coming home with the milk bottle delivery! But as the evening drew nearer the doubts began to mount. Could I stay awake into the early hours and then get to work at 9am the next day? And sadly the answer was clearly 'no'.
So a young friend was drafted in to let me off the hook and round up friends to enjoy the evening with the wonderful ticket offer by Play and Ross Gazette. Sadly, however, illness prevented my friend from attending.
So I would love to say a HUGE 'thank you' to both the Ross Gazette and Play and also apologise for not using the tickets. One less photograph for the gallery I'm afraid. And just one more thing - I will remember to ask myself if I can really live up to the prize should I be lucky enough to win it. And if the answer is 'perhaps not', then I'll pass on the entry that time!
Clare O'Reilly, Ross
