Dear Editor,

I am appalled to find that there is no trade waste recycling offered by Herefordshire Council. This seems so archaic, especially in the present environmentally sensitive climate.

On enquiring to other nearby councils, they appear to be so switched on to the green credentials. Monmouthshire send virtually nothing to landfill, it’s either recycled or used for heating/power generation.

And I think Gloucestershire are recycling trade waste, to my knowledge, and are certainly much more switched on than Herefordshire Council.
