The next full moon will be a spectacular supermoon and the largest in over 70 years, so mark your calendars ready to see this rare event.

The moon is expected to reach the peak of its full phase at 1.52pm on Monday, November 14th but it will appear full in the day before and after the main event. The moon will be easy to spot in any place with clear skies. The current weather outlook is looking good, with a dry day and night forecast with some cloud, however we will update this nearer to the time.

As well as being the most impressive full moon of this year, appearing up to 14 per cent larger and 30 per cent brighter than usual, this month’s supermoon will also be the closest to Earth since 1948.

A moon of this size will not appear in skies again until November 25th, 2034.
