JOHN DAVIES, the Mayor of Ross joined the Freeman family and other guests at the opening of Alton House last Friday, March 27th. Alton House is a prestigious office block located at the front of Alton Business Park constructed by the Freeman Group. Brian Atherton, the Secretary of Ross Chamber of Commerce, told the assembled business people, potential occupiers and the family behind Alton House, that finally everything is coming together for Ross. He spoke about the new live/work scheme, the WiFi project and other investments in the area. He said that despite the economic downturn in other places Ross was uniquely placed to survive and thrive. The Mayor, John Davies, cut the red ribbon to officially open the
building and thanked the Freemans for the refurbishment of the site. He
said: "It really needed it and now it looks great." Guests were given guided tours of the new offices and refreshments were provided by The Mill Race catering team. The Mill Race is part of the Leisure arm of MF Freeman
and was awarded Publican Food Pub of the Year for 2009 recently
