Hundreds of eager garden visitors enjoyed taking a look behind the gates of 22 different properties in Ross-on-Wye at the weekend.

Saturday was exceptionally busy for the gardens which opened to raise funds for the Friends of St Mary’s Church, and although numbers were a little lower on Sunday, because of the rain, it was still a very successful weekend.

With over 500 tickets sold it looks as if the event will raise many thousands of pounds to add to the money the Friends have already raised to support the refurbishment and maintenance of the church building,
