A publicity drive to raise support for one of the valuable services the WRVS offers, Community Transport, has chosen volunteers and users from Ross to front the national campaign Give Us a Lift.

Paid driver, Jeff Kendell, who also gives many hours unpaid as a volunteer, is featured on the front page of the Autumn Winter issue of the WRVS magazine, Action. And several Ross people who use the Community Transport scheme are also featured inside the magazine.

The article entitled Motoring Ahead shows that 'WRVS Community Transport schemes are more than just a way to get from A to B, they are a lifeline to life itself.'
