Staff and residents at care home Barchester’s Ross Court had a blast celebrating at their Hawaiian summer event.

Family and friends joined in the fun; decorations brought the Hawaiian vibe to Ross with colourful displays. Staff enjoyed the day with their own Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts. A summer menu was put together featuring cocktails served in coconut shells. A musical performance from residents’ favourite, Mansel delighted audience members.

Events like there are much enjoyed by residents and help to keep them physically and socially active.

Manager Amy Wheatley said: “It was a fantastic celebration day at Ross Court, we wanted to have a summer party and Hawaii was the perfect theme. Residents have been making decorations and flower garlands that they wore around their neck and in their hair on the day. There was such a fun atmosphere with the music and games including a traditional coconut shy.”
