ON Sunday (September 21), the Forest Edge Benefice came together at Huntley Church to celebrate a very special milestone – the anniversary of Monica Richardson's 30 years of ministry as a Reader serving local parishes.
A warm celebration was a testament to the dedication and commitment that Monica has shown over the past three decades.

Her thoughtful, calm, and faithful service has been a great blessing to all within the Forest Edge Benefice, and Monica’s ministry has made the world a better place.
The Forest Edge Benefice relies heavily on the dedication of its Readers, especially given the number of churches under the care of the one priest in charge.
Monica's unwavering commitment has been invaluable in supporting the local Forest Edge community and ensuring that everyone’s spiritual needs are met.

The large congregation that attended Sunday’s celebration demonstrated just how grateful people are for her ministry, and the positive impact that she has had on people’s lives over the last three decades.
And her service is a shining example of just what it means to be a Reader.
The Forest Edge Benefice thanked Monica for her 30 years of dedicated service and expressed their hope for many more years of ministry and blessings to come.
Cake and bubbles were served after the service and the members of the congregation took the opportunity to thank her in person.
The Forest Edge Benefice covers the parishes of Longhope, Huntley with May Hill, Churcham and Bulley.
Friends of Longhope Church posted: “Monica’s thoughtful, calm, and faithful service has been such a blessing to us all.
“The world is a better place for her ministry, and we are deeply grateful. Here’s to many more years – thank you, Monica!”
