Despite an announcement from the Wye Valley NHS Trust that parking charges would be introduced at Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital from July 10th 2017, the pay and display machines are not yet operational.

A member of staff at the Community Hospital confirmed that the parking charges had not yet come into effect.

The pay and display machines have been set up in the hospital car park, but they have been taped up. Signs state that parking is for ’patrons only,’ and advises that visitors must enter their vehicle registration in the book at reception, otherwise they face a fine of £100 (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days of issue). The Ross Gazette has contacted the Wye Valley NHS Trust to ask whether there are still plans to bring in parking charges at the community hospital but, so far, a response has not been received. There will be updates as soon as we have them.
