The Ross-on-Wye Friendship Group, which is part of the Hereford and District Parkinson’s Branch, held a collection and information stand at Labels Outlet Shopping, Ross-on-Wye on Saturday, April 23rd.
This took place during Parkinson’s Awareness Week, when all over the country there have been fundraising events and information stands to increase the awareness and knowledge about Parkinson’s.
If you are affected by, living with, or caring for someone with Parkinson’s, or just want to know more about the condition for which at present, there is no cure, then they would be pleased to see you at their meetings. The group meets on the first Friday of the month at 10.30am at the Conservative Club, The Avenue, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 5AW.
New members and friends are welcome to enjoy coffee and a chat plus help in finding any information you might be seeking.
The Hereford and District Branch gives help and support throughout the year for people with Parkinson’s and their carers and there are three Friendship Groups in Hereford, Ross and Leominster.
The Branch offers an Exercise Class, Yoga Class, Nordic Walking and a Singing Group and they hope to launch a Dance Session shortly. All these events are at venues throughout the county. If you are interested in any of the activities mentioned then contact Anne Downing on 01989 769951 for more details.
