Madam, I note with interest your recent article headed "The cracks are beginning to show" on page 4 of this week's Ross Gazette.
On May 26th 2011, I fell on a dangerous section of pavement between Thorntons and the old Ross Gazette Office in the High Street. I attach a photo of the damaged pavement taken immediately after my fall in 2011, which I sent to the Council Officers and followed this with phone calls. Nothing happened, so I telephoned again on a number of occasions, each time saying it had been reported. I was assured that Amey would repair the offending paving stones and service manholes without delay.
I attach another photograph of the same section of pavement taken today – April 3rd – on my mobile phone and as you can see, repairs have still not been carried out. It is now nearly two years later and my knees still haven't recovered.
Lesley Porter,
Ross-on-Wye
