Members of Ross Town Council were reassured to a certain extent about the future of policing in Ross when they met the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Bill Longmore last week. Top of the list of questions from local Councillors were those about the closing of Ross Police Station, on-going support for CCTV, the use of Ledbury Police Station as a Deployment Centre rather than Ross and response to reports of crimes.

Mr Longmore, and his deputy Barrie Sheldon, both spoke to the Councillors then answered questions. They said how useful it had been to travel around the West Mercia area and experience the distances between towns.
