Jackie Cole visited Aston Ingham WI this month, to talk about The Peace and Hope Trust, an organisation set up to help people living in abject poverty in countries like Nicaragua, Peru and Ethiopia.

The charity helps by way of installing water supplies, building schools, bridges etc. The organisation arranges events such as fashion shows to continue their support and every year volunteers go out to countries where existence is very fragile.

Also on display at the October meeting were poppies made by some members in preparation for the commemmorations of the end of World War I.
