Fownhope met Pegasus at Old School Lane for this thrilling cup final. Pegasus got off to a good start when they broke through the Fownhope defence for Pete Lucas to score from 12 yards. Pegasus should have gone further ahead when Pete Lucas shot from the right hand side of the penalty area and hit the far post, only for the ball to bounce away harmlessly. Fownhope pressed hard to get back on level terms creating a few chances, the best coming from Joe Tumelty hitting the crossbar but the Pegasus defence held firm. Half Time 0 – 1
Fownhope started the strongest in the second half with a good opportunity created from a corner which was well saved. Midway through the second half Jordan Mussell turned the defence and shot the ball past the goalkeeper. Pete Lucas added to the tally before Pegasus had a defender sent off. Pegasus then made some tactical substitutions but saw the game out to the end winning 3 – 0
