THE owners of Penblaith Barn in Llangarron have won Visit England’s Rose award for recognition of its service of excellence in the West Midlands region.

This holiday home six miles from Monmouth is a five-star gold rated facility for multi-generational families, friends and special occasions as it sleeps up to 18 people in eight bedrooms.
The Rose awards recognise accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience.
They celebrate the owners, management and employees who deliver world-class service and the warmest of welcomes, irrespective of the type of accommodation, star rating or style.
Visit England director Andrew Stokes said: “The awards showcase the excellent accommodation available across England.
“They honour the people behind the businesses who go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service, innovative options for all tastes and budgets and a great welcome for visitors.
“Where people rest their heads is central to ensuring memorable visitor experiences, whether that’s glamping or bed and breakfast stays, to country pubs with rooms or self-catering cottages, these providers drive tourism and its benefits across communities.”
The Rose award winners were nominated by VisitEngland’s quality scheme assessors and selected from assessor comments and online feedback from overseas and domestic visitors.
The VisitEngland Rose Awards 2026, now in their 10th year, were presented at an event on Tuesday, September 8 at The Post Barn in Newbury, Berkshire.
Tourism is one of England’s largest, most valuable industries, worth £127 billion annually to the English economy, supporting hundreds of thousands of businesses.
The layout of the Penblaith Barn is across three floors and the feeling of space is enhanced by a beautiful galleried hall and oak staircase.
The kitchen is fully equipped and great for cooking together. The dining room has plenty of seating for everyone and an electric log effect fire for maximum comfort, as well as a bar for pre or post dinner drinks.
