DAVE Setchfield ran a personal best time of 1hr 26 mins in Sunday's Hereford Half marathon, helping to raise money for St.Michael's hospice in the process.
Perfect weather conditions on the day combined with Dave's efforts in training meant that his strategy of staying close to seven minutes per mile was soon cast aside in favour of a faster pace. This brought him home in 26th place in a field of nearly 800 runners.
The post race massage provided by Hereford College for the blind was gratefully received!
