MADAM, IF the concerned citizen in last weeks Ross Gazette is correct I wish to ask our Town Councillors how they justify wasting £3,500 of council tax payers' money on petanque pistes for the privileged few. Also, how, if there is a cap of £1,000, did they "spend" £3,500?
Also in your newspaper, the talk was of the town clock. This apparent waste could have been used towards repairing the clock, which could have benefitted the whole town, rather than the few. Had that happened the shop keepers of the town, could have concentrated on ensuring the survival of the businesses, rather than collecting donations from hard pressed shoppers for a clock repair.
