The Ross Gazette Anniversary Mints being sold by Tudor Sweets in Ross-on-Wye to support the Ross Action Bus have been phenomenally successful.
Daniel Pearce told the Gazette; “We are very pleased with the way they are going, everyone thinks it is such a worthwhile cause.”
The Ross Gazette Anniversary Mints are a really easy way to support the charity chosen by the Ross Gazette as a way of marking the newspaper’s 150th anniversary.
The mints are made by Bray’s of Newport, who have been making sweets since 1867, the same year the Ross Gazette began.
Each bag of mints costs 99p, and for each bag sold, 35p will be donated to the Ross Action Bus Appeal.
Daniel told the Gazette: “It is amazing how many people in Ross are alone and have mobility problems. It is nice to be part of something so worthwhile.”
Daniel, and his wife, Sue, are celebrating seven years running the sweet shop. They said they are delighted to be associated with two of the town’s institutions.
The bags of Ross Gazette Anniversary Mints are available now at Tudor Sweets in High Street, Ross-on-Wye and at the Ross Gazette office.
