Phil Nicholls, a porter at Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital, retired last week, and was presented with a card and a gift by members of the Friends of Ross Hospital.

Phil worked at the hospital for approximately seven years, and the Chair of the Friends of Ross Hospital, Jill Davies, told the Ross Gazette: “He has always been a great help and support to all of the events put on by the Friends at the hospital.”

Before he began working at the hospital, Phil worked at Bradford Building Supplies, and before that, he worked at Rank Xerox for 29 years.

Phil commented that he is looking forward to spending extra time with his grandchildren, and making the most of the nice weather this summer.
