A number of Ross-on-Wye residents and business owners are growing increasingly concerned about the state of pavements around the town centre, as more and more spots of pigeon poo are appearing.
Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the state of a patch of pavement along High Street got so bad, members of staff in local shops had to go and disinfect the area.
Nic at Colemans told the Gazette that she went out twice over the Bank Holiday weekend to clean the street; she wanted to ensure that the area looked nice for local people and visitors, but she also wanted to make sure that people weren’t walking the poo and germs into the shop.
After she was finished cleaning the street outside Colemans, Andrew and Ronnie from the neighbouring business, Hamilton Stiller, borrowed her mop and bucket to disinfect the area outside their premises.
The Ross Gazette have reported the issue to Herefordshire Council who have informed us that they are looking into it.
